Abstract

The importance tool for drug prevention and control is assets inspection of the accused in drug related cases. The Act on Suppression of Offenders Related to Narcotics, 1992, has determined that there is a judicious ground to suspect that any of the accused's assets are assets in connection with the drug offenses. There should be a process that have their assets inspected. Currently, it is found that the problems have become more serious. For example, arrest statistics showed that there were a number of cases where property inspections were ordered in the area Narcotics Control Office Region 5, average 20 cases per month. In the inspection process, there are procedures for conducting assets inspections, provisioning collection of facts and evidence and the summary of the inspection of those assets. This paper has studied whether there are enough resources for property inspection Furthermore, it is the researched of the effectiveness of inspecting assets in accordance with the Measure in the Suppression of Narcotics Act, 1992. Qualitative research methodology was used for this project. The tools used to collect information are research interview from comprising agencies under the Narcotics Control Agency Region 5. As a result, the lack of workforce for property inspection is an ongoing issue. The knowledge of the staff in the inspection of new dimensions, including compensation and benefits received should be reviewed and adjusted to be in line with adjoining agencies.
