ทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับอุปสรรคและข้อผิดพลาดในการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยของนักเรียนชายมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย

Abstract

ยุทธศาสตร์ถุงยางอนามัยแห่งชาติ ของกระทรวงสาธารณสุข ทำให้อัตราการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยในกลุ่มวัยรุ่นที่มีเพศสัมพันธ์เพิ่มขึ้น แต่กลับพบอัตราการติดเชื้อโรคติดต่อทางเพศสัมพันธ์ของกลุ่มวัยรุ่นและเยาวชนอายุ 15-24 ปีที่เพิ่มขึ้นเช่นกัน การศึกษานี้เป็นการศึกษาภาคตัดขวาง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับอุปสรรคในการใช้ถุงยางอนามัย และข้อผิดพลาดและปัญหาในการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยของของนักเรียนชายมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ นักเรียนชายมัธยมศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 4-6 ในเขตอำเภอเมืองพิษณุโลก จำนวน 10 โรงเรียน ที่มีประสบการณ์ในการใช้ถุงยางอนามัย จำนวน 148 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้คือแบบสอบถาม ประกอบด้วย 1) ทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับอุปสรรคในการใช้ถุงยางอนามัย และ 2) ข้อผิดพลาดและปัญหาในการใช้ถุงยางอนามัย หาค่าความเชื่อมั่นโดยใช้สัมประสิทธ์แอลฟาครอนบาค ได้เท่ากับ 0.89 และ 0.91 ตามลำดับ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับอุปสรรคในการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยของเรียนชายมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย อยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ข้อผิดพลาดในการใช้ถุงยางอนามัย พบว่า มีการเหลือช่องว่างที่ปลายถุงยางขณะใส่ การบีบไล่ลมออกจากถุงยางอนามัยหลังจากใส่เสร็จแล้ว และถอดถุงยางอนามัยก่อนที่จะเสร็จกิจ ปัญหาในการใช้ถุงยางอนามัย พบว่า ไม่ตรวจสอบถุงยางอนามัยหารอยฉีกขาดก่อนมีเพศสัมพันธ์ ความไม่พอดีของถุงยางอนามัย และปัญหาเรื่องเสียความรู้สึกสัมผัสขณะใช้ถุงยางอนามัย ผลการศึกษาที่ได้สามารถนำไปใช้ในการจัดทำโปรแกรมสุขศึกษาส่งเสริมการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยอย่างถูกวิธีที่ตรงกับปัญหาและข้อผิดพลาดในการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยของวัยรุ่น อันจะนำไปสู่การลดปัญหาการติดเชื้อโรคติดต่อทางเพศสัมพันธ์และการตั้งครรภ์ก่อนวัยอันควรได้

The National Condom Strategy of Ministry of Public Health found an increased in the rate of condom use among sexually active adolescents. However the prevalence rate of Sexually Transmitted Infections among Thai adolescent ages 15-24 years of age is increasing dramatically. A cross-sectional study was conducted to examine the attitudes towards barriers of condom use, problems and condom use errors among high school boy students. The samples included 148 high school boy students in 10th to12th grade who had condom use experiences in ten high schools, Muang Phitsanulok District. Two measurements consisted of 1) the attitudes towards barriers of condom use, and 2) problems and errors of condom use. The reliability was tested by Alpha Cronbach’s 0.89, and 0.91, respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The study results revealed that mean scores of attitudes towards barriers of condom use among high school boy students was moderate. Condom use errors included not leaving a gap at the tip of condom, not pinching the tip of condom after rolling it down, and waiting to remove the condom after sex was concluded. The condom use problems were not checking for breaking of the condom before sex, poorly fitting condom, and loss of sex simulation while using a condom. Results from this study could improve health education programs and promote condom effectiveness among adolescents and to decrease the sexually transmitted diseases rate and teenage pregnancy.
