dc.description.abstract© 2020 IEEE. The learning style in this day has changed from the last decade. The traditional learning style is not enough for supporting students to encourage knowledge in the classroom. Combining with the rapid growth of modern technology this day can make the learning system being more exciting and convenient. This study aims to investigate the learners' learning performance and programming skills when they learn the fundamental programming course with C programming language in the smart learning classroom environment compare with the learners who learn in the traditional classroom environment. The 70 freshmen were divided into two groups. The first group has thirty-five learners who were assigned to learn in the smart learning environment, and other thirty-five learners were assigned to learn in the old style in the traditional classroom environment. The experimental's result presents that the learners who learn in the smart learning environment have to be higher learning performance in programming skills than the learners who learn in the traditional classroom environment.en_US
