dc.description.abstract | © 2020 IEEE. The haze pollution has effected the upper northern region of Thailand for over a decade. This national disaster is a regular event and cause a negative impact on socio-economic development and public health. There are many air quality applications available for all users to download. However, there is a concern that an over information can create stress and paranoid to people on society. This study aims to explore the users' preference towards PM 2.5 Automated Notification System by collecting 488 questionnaires from students and staffs of Chiang Mai University as a pilot sample group. This study uses t Test and ANOVA to test the hypothesizes by using SPSS V.22 as statistical tools. The results reveal that there are not different preferences on PM 2.5 Automated Notification System from all users. Most of the users prefer to be informed about PM2.5 index through both online and offline systems. They also agree to receive the information in advance to prepare themselves and reduces all risks. Therefore, all responsible associations should concern about these requirements and create both online and offline alert system to notify people in the affected area. | en_US |
