การส่งเสริมความสามารถในการทำงานของพยาบาลวัยที่สาม

Abstract

ปัจจุบันได้เกิดการขาดแคลนพยาบาลทั่วโลกเป็นจำนวนมากและจะทวีความรุนแรงเพิ่มมากยิ่งขึ้นในยี่สิบปีข้างหน้า เนื่องจากอายุขัยเฉลี่ยของประชากรทั่วโลกมีแนวโน้มสูงขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ทุกคนต่างดูแลสุขภาพของตนเองดีขึ้นมีผลให้มีอายุยืนยาว ดังนั้นพยาบาลวัยที่สามซึ่งทำงานอยู่ในขณะนี้ควรให้ความสนใจการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เกิดขึ้นในศตวรรษที่ 21 ต้องปรับเปลี่ยนตนเอง โดยการศึกษาหาความรู้ที่เกี่ยวข้อง สร้างทัศนคติที่ถูกต้องต่อความสูงวัย ดูแลตนเองให้มีสุขภาพดีทั้งร่างกายและจิตใจ และวางแผนปรับเปลี่ยนตนเองให้เหมาะสม เพื่อสร้างเสริมความสามารถในการทำงานและทำงานได้ยาวนานเพิ่มขึ้น ทั้งนี้โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนจากครอบครัว บุคคลรอบข้าง รวมทั้งผู้บริหารการพยาบาลและหน่วยงาน

Today’s global nursing shortage is at a critical level. It will become yet more serious in the next twenty years. This is because of the trend of higher average life expectancy within the global population. Individuals are more engaged with taking care of their health, which is resulting in prolonged life. Thus, Third Age nurses who are working now must be concerned with these global changes in the twenty-first century. Third Age nurses need to adjust themselves by seeking relevant knowledge and experiences, creating the right attitudes towards aging, taking care of themselves so as to maintain good physical and mental health, while planning how to effectively adapt him/herself. These elements can provide active promotion of the work ability of Third Age nurses and can support longer working with support from families, surrounding people, nurse administrators, and relevant organizations.
