Abstract

This research has main objectives to explain the operation of elderly’s quality life improvement under the roles of Center for Quality of Life Development and Occupational Promotion for the Elderly. The research applies applying qualitative research method to analyze information interview and observation. These education research by qualitative by based on the phenomenology. Important research issues reveal that the operations of elderly’s quality of life development under the Center for Quality of Life Development and Occupational Promotion for the Elderly in Lamphun province have unique operational plans differing from their spatial contexts. Each centers has clear operational plans that reflected through its performance of elderly’s quality target and its determined policy administration, as well as the approaches and the roles of local government units in the responsible area. Further, the operations have focused on elderly values and social welfares including social assurance, elderly allowance, housing, and other elderly assistances such like health services, occupational promotion, community fund, and education service. Collaborating as groups characterized by partnerships that focus on elderly’s needs has created some level of effectiveness. Further, local elderly clubs have engaged in the planning of various social activities allowing the operations by the Center for Quality of Life Development and Occupational Promotion for the Elderly in Lamphun Province to create positive impact toward the elderly’s feeling, social relationship, and their living environments.
