Abstract: This independent study on “Synthesis of Research on Educational Administration Graduate Program, Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University” had the objectives to 1) analyze characteristics of research, 2) synthesize research, and 3) present research guidelines for Graduate students, majoring in Education Administration, Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University. The study was divided into 3 steps as (1) Research Characteristic Analysis of Students: the research tools used were the research data recording form. The data were analyzed by the distribution of data frequency, and percentage, (2) Research Synthesis: the research tools included the consistent record of the research objectives and the direction of the professional standards of school administrators considering from (draft) the school administrators' professional standards B.E. 2562. The data were analyzed by content analysis. (3) Presentation of Research Guidelines for Students: the tool was the research guidelines of graduate students. The data were analyzed by content analysis. The findings revealed as follows: 1. The findings of the research characteristic analysis of students found that the most common basic information about the research was the Master of Education. The approved year from the university was in 2016. Most of the research was independent research. The school administrators were the common population and sample groups. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage and standard deviation. As a tool for data collection, most were interview forms. The suggestions of the study presented that it was the most suggestion at the school level. The researcher's position most are graduates in the Master of Education Program and most of them were teachers. Most of the researcher's position in the Doctor of Philosophy program was the director of the school. Moreover, the graduation period was mostly longer than the curriculum period. 2. The synthesis results of graduate researches, majoring in Education Administration, Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University pointed out that the research objectives had the consistency with the direction of professional standards of school administrators (1) Master of Education Program was mostly as a School Management and Development group and the least common group was to create attachment and work with the community, (2) Doctor of Philosophy Program: most of them were groups to set the direction and strategy of the school. 3) Research guidelines for graduate students majoring in Education Administration: achieving Education Administration to publish research according to education levels and education plans including the higher-level quality of work, there were 6 related components, which were students, teachers, academic activities, extra-curricular activities, research framework/research issues as well as monitoring.
