Abstract: | The purpose of this study were analyzing nutritional status, along with language and mathematics learning abilities of pre-school children. The case studies were 26 pre-school children, average age about 2.9 ± 0.5 years old. The nutritional status and language and mathematics learning abilities assessment form was used in the study. Moreover, there was the distribution of frequency, percentage, point average, mean and learning ability level. Results from the study showed that pre-school children had normal overall nutritional status. They had proper height per age (96.2 percent), weight per age (73.2 percent), and weight per height (61.6 percent), respectively. In terms of language learning ability, overall was good, they could distinguish colors of fruits, used language to tell the name of things in the picture and telling stories. For the mathematics learning ability, they could count 1-10, sequencing, classification, comparison, and describing characteristic, figure and shape in a good level. Furthermore, nutritional status of children should be promoted and parents should be encouraged to realize the importance of nutritional status in order to be a good basis for further learning for children. |
