Abstract

The objective of the independent study is to study the cost and return on corn growing system overlap with legumes and without burning plant residuals in Phrao District, Chiang Mai Province of Highland Research and Development Institute (Public Organization). Data was collected by conducting in-depth interviews with a total of 16 corn agriculturalists that collected produce in the year 2013. The study divided corn and legume plantations into 10 different plot sizes. The plot size generating the highest return was 5-Rai, yielding a net profit of 5,788.87 Baht per Rai. Net profit margin ratio, return on total assets ratio, and return on equity were 71.53 percent, 7.85 percent, and 7.85 percent, respectively.
