Abstract: The Independent Study “Quality of Work Life of Medical Representatives in Northern Area of Local Pharmaceutical Companies” aimed to investigate factors which affected medical representatives’ quality of work life, and to find out the level of their quality of work life by using quality of work life concept, which consists of the factors of quality of work life, namely body, mentality, social relationship, environment, spirituality, and career stability. In this study, the data was collected by questionnaire distributed to 200 medical representatives at pharmaceutical companies in the Northern areas. The collected data was then analyzed by statistics: frequency, percentage, mean, T-test and One-way ANOVA, LSD, including correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the medical representatives at local pharmaceutical companies in the Northern areas had medium level of overall quality of work life, and their opinions towards the 6 factors of quality of work life were at the high level. Body showed the highest mean, followed by mentality, social relationship, environment, spirituality, and career stability, respectively. The medical representatives at local pharmaceutical companies in the Northern areas who had different marital status showed significant difference in overall quality of work life. The correlation analysis between the 6 factors and quality of work life showed that mentality, social relationship, environment, spirituality, and career stability were related significantly to quality of work life, in the same direction. The analysis of the influence of factors affecting quality of work life towards the overall quality of work life showed positive variation (R = 0.702), with spirituality and career stability significantly influencing the overall quality of work life.
