Abstract: This independent study aimed at studying the habit of Faculty of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Students, Maejo University by employing the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People Principle by Stephen R. Covey (1989) and at finding correlation between the habit levels and between the respondent general characteristics and habit levels. The samples were collected from those students who were studying in Faculty of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources. The sample size was specified to 234, suggested by RV Krejcie and D.W. Morgan. Self-scoring Seven Habits of Highly Effective People Principle questionnaire by Covey (2010) was used in correcting data. Statistical analysis techniques used in this study were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-Test, one-way ANOVA and correlation analysis. Most of the respondents were 20-21 years old male studying in the first academic year of 4-year program with GPA and GPAC of 1.76-2.50. Most respondents were the youngest child. They had two brothers/sisters and they lived with their both parents. Their parents lived together. Their parents worked as agriculturist. They had 5 close friends. They had no work experience and never were a leader or involved in arranging student activities. They had experienced in voluntarily attending student activities and they were willing in attending activities organized by students association, the faculty or the university. They had an opportunity to attend a lesson or a class concerning the Seven Habits for Highly Effective People Principle. The result of the study showed that the respondents had high level of Habit 1: Be Proactive. However, they had medium high level of Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw, Life Balance Habits, Habit 4: Think Win/Win, Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Emotional Bank Account Habit, Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind, Habit 3: Put First Thing First, Habit 6: Synergize were ranked at high level, respectively. Private Victory Habits, Public Victory Habit and Habit Overall 7 Habit and was ranked at high level, respectively. The level of Emotional Bank Account Habit were significantly different among these respondent characteristics: previous part time job for extra income, whether being a leader or involved in arranging student activities team, experience in voluntarily attending student activities and the level of willingness to attend activities organized by students association, the faculty or the university and previous learning experience concerning the Seven Habits for Highly Effective People Principle. The level of Life Balance Habit were significantly different among these respondent characteristics: the study level, GPAC, the number of siblings, the respondents lived with mostly, experience in voluntarily attending student activities and the level of willingness to attend activities organized by students association, the faculty or the university and previous learning experience concerning the Seven Habits for Highly Effective People Principle. The level of Private Victory Habit were significantly different among these respondent characteristics: academic program, occupation of mother, previous part time job for extra income, experience in voluntarily attending student activities and the level of willingness to attend activities organized by students association. The level of Public Victory Habit were significantly different among these respondent characteristics: academic program, previous part time job for extra income, whether being a leader or involved in arranging student activities team, experience in voluntarily attending student activities and the level of willingness to attend activities organized by students association, the faculty or the university and previous learning experience concerning the Seven Habits for Highly Effective People Principle. The level of the overall 7 Habit were significantly different among these respondent characteristics: academic program, occupation of mother, previous part time job for extra income, whether being a leader or involved in arranging student activities team, experience in voluntarily attending student activities and the level of willingness to attend activities organized by students association, the faculty or the university and previous learning experience concerning the Seven Habits for Highly Effective People Principle. The correlation analysis showed that the Emotional Bank Account, Life Balance and Habit 1 to Habit 7 were positively correlated with each other. The GPA was not related to Emotional Bank Account, Life Balance and Habit 1 to Habit 7. Meanwhile, the results showed negative correlation between GPAC and Emotional Bank Account and Life Balance in a low level. Students with learning experience concerning the Seven Habits for Highly Effective People Principle had higher average level of all habits than students who did not have that experience.
