ทัศนคติของนักเรียนต่อการนำหลักปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงมาใช้ : กรณีศึกษานักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายโรงเรียนธีรการท์บ้านโฮ่ง อำเภอบ้านโฮ่ง จังหวัดลำพูน

Abstract

This Independent Study had the objectives of studying 1) the understanding of the Efficiency Economic Philosophy among the high school students of Theerakarnbanhong School, 2) the students’ attitude toward the philosophy and the problems and barriers to adapting the philosophy to Thai life. The data was collected from 600 high school students of Theerakarnbanhong School in the academic year 2013. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics of frequency distribution, mean (x ̅) and percentage. The study results revealed that the majority of the students were female (69.7%). Their overall knowledge and understanding of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy was at the highest level, which was in such aspects as it could be applied to people to live sufficiently and be self-reliant as well as to live happily according to their personal condition. Moreover, the philosophy could help people coexist sustainably with nature and the environment without destroying it, but value it instead while being conscious of preserving the natural resources as well as the environment. The students’ knowledge and understanding was at a high level in such aspects as being moderate in all things according to their situation without troubling oneself or others; in particular observing the ethics of Sufficiency Economy: being honest, patient, persevering, conducting one’s life by wisdom and reason along with making decisions carefully.

Their overall attitude toward the philosophy was at the highest level in such aspects as knowing that a moderate living according to one’s condition would result in happiness and that a sound and careful decision would lead them to a smooth way of life while abiding in morality was important in assuring them of true happiness. The kind of attitude that was ranked at a high level also involved the belief that the philosophy could bring success and security that are sustainable and it would be a sure way for the country’s development and to apply the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy effectively required proper knowledge and understanding. The problems and barriers to adapting the philosophy to their lives that the students of Theerakarnbanhong School ranked the highest (58.0%) was lacking a good model for the society.
