Abstract: | This research has the objectives of the research 1. To develop a group activity program for the social skills of primary school students at Lanna International School. 2. To study the results of using a group activity program on social skills for primary school students at Lanna International School. The population is upper primary school students in Grade 5, aged 9-12 years old, it was an experimental group of 9 people from Lanna International School. Use a purposive selection method. The tools used in the research included assessing social skills. he experiments was scheduled according to the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The tools used in this research consisted of 2 parts: 1) The tool used to collect data was a social skills assessment form. (Social-Skills Assessment) 2) The tools used in the experiment were the activity program. The group organized activities 10 times, 50 minutes each time, for a period of 10 days and followed up after the experiment for 1 month (Follow-up). Statistics used in data analysis are mean (Mean), percentage (%) and standard deviation. By classifying both in analytical form Overall and analysis of differences in each aspect of the target group in the pre-experiment period. After the experiment and the follow-up period of the five aspects of social skills and the effectiveness index (EI), the results found that 1) The results of the research found that students who received the social skills training program by the group activity program for social skills is content accurate and appropriate of the high overall score for social skills and scores the evaluation development process with an index of consistency between questions and objectives (IOC) ranging from .88 to 1.00 for areas as follows: In the area of communication, the effectiveness index (E.I.) value is equal to 0.3523, In the area of building relationships, the value is equal to 0.3333, In the area of teamwork, the value is equal to 0.3705, In the area of problem-solving, the value is equal to 0.3713, indicating that students have increased in skill by 37.13 percent, and in the aspect of self-confidence, the value is equal to 0.3501. 2) The results of using the group activity program on social skills were found to be the average of the overall social skills score. Before the experiment, the level was low to moderate. After the experiment was at a high level and follow-up was at a high level. In addition, social skills in each area include communication. Relationship building Group work Problem solving and confidence have social skills Increased in all 5 areas. Indicating that the group activity program promotes the development of social skills of international school students for the better. . |
