Abstract: This independent study research aims to study the processes and effectiveness outcomes of the national food waste management campaign of local administrative organization in Mueang Mae Hong Son district, Mae Hong Son province. It also aims to study the sustainable implementation approach for the national food waste management campaign of local administrative organization in Mueang Mae Hong Son district, Mae Hong Son province. The study adopts a mixed-method research approach, combining quantitative and qualitative research methods, by using a questionnaire to collect data from a representative sample of households residing within the local government organization in Mueang Mae Hong Son district area, totaling 386 people, and conducting in-depth interviews with 10 key informants, including personnel from relevant state agencies at the local, district, and provincial levels. The research findings indicate that the majority of the population prioritize separating organic waste from other types of waste, and the sample households have cooperated in the implementation of wet waste bin to reduce global warming. The local government organization in the area mainly promotes and supports the installation. However, households tend to separate organic waste from other types of waste using other methods more frequently than using wet waste bins to reduce global warming, mainly due to the infrequency of using wet waste bins, which accounts for 46.63% of the frequency of using wet waste bin to reduce global warming. Additionally, there are challenges and obstacles concerning budget constraints and the understanding of the local population and working staff. Therefore, for the sustainability of the national food waste management campaign of local administrative organization in Mueang Mae Hong Son district, Mae Hong Son province, it is crucial for all stakeholders, including the government, private sector, and local communities, including volunteers in the area, to continuously and consistently participate. The roles of leaders and leadership potential at all levels will significantly affect the success of the wet waste bin project for reducing global warming sustainably in the future.
