Abstract: This independent study aimed to study (1) the local political struggling process, especially in the dimension of local political network, of the Hmong Ethnic Group in the political sphere of Ngob Subdistrict Municipality, Thung Chang District, Nan Province and to study (2) the factors that supported the local political struggling of the Hmong Ethnic Group in the political sphere of Ngob Subdistrict Municipality, Thung Chang District, Nan Province. The study methods consisted of documentary research and field research by non-participant observation and in-depth interviewing the four groups of key informants namely; (1) the local politicians of the Hmong Ethnic Group, (2) the leaders and the senior people of the Hmong Ethnic Group, (3) the voters of the Hmong Ethnic Group and (4) the municipal executives and village headmen in Ngob Subdistrict. The results of the study showed that there was a local political network of the Hmong Ethnic Group formed in the local political struggling process of the Hmong Ethnic Group in the political sphere of Ngob Subdistrict Municipality which could be called “the Network of the Hmong Ethnic Identity and the Political Alliance”. The network consisted of four groups of member namely; (1) the local politicians of the Hmong ethnic group, (2) the leaders and senior people of the Hmong Ethnic Group, (3) the voters of the Hmong Ethnic Group and (4) the alliance local politicians from the Tai Lue Ethnic Group. The network was formed informally with no exact management system but strong and united. In addition, the results of the study showed that the supporting factors in the local political struggling of the Hmong Ethnic Group in the political sphere of Ngob Subdistrict Municipality could be divided into two types namely; the Internal Factor which consists of the number of population, the identity of the kinship and partisan system, the unity of the local politicians of the group and the education of the people and the External Factor which consists of the civil rights of the Hmong ethnic people and the political alliances from other ethnic groups.
