Abstract: The purpose of this independent study is to study the saving behavior of personnel at Payap University, using a questionnaire to collect data from 301 personnel samples at the university. Statistical analysis is conducted using descriptive statistics to explain the saving behavior of the University personnel and inferential statistics to explain factors that affect the amount of savings by applying multiple regression. The study found that among the sample group of 225 females, most were between the ages of 41 and 50, married, had completed a master's degree, had 3 to 4 family members, had less than 10 years of work experience, and were working in operational positions. The average monthly income was between 15,001 and 25,000 baht, with an average additional income of no more than 5,000 baht per month. The average monthly expenses were between 10,000 and 20,000 baht, and personnel did not have any health-related expenses. The study found that the savings behavior of personnel was mainly self-determined, with the majority choosing to save for emergency expenses in various types of deposit accounts at financial institutions. They saved an average of no more than 5,000 baht per month, with no definite limit on the amount of savings. The most important factor affecting their decision to save was the amount of expenses. In a multiple regression analysis, it was found that income, expenses, and health expenses were related to savings, which could explain the amount of savings by 87.5% at a significant level of 0.05. Holding other factors constant, an increase of 1 baht in monthly income led to an increase of 0.75 baht in monthly savings. An increase of 1 baht in monthly expenses led to a decrease of 0.74 baht in monthly savings. An increase of 1 baht in monthly health expenses led to a decrease of 0.63 baht in monthly savings. When personnel were lecturers, the result showed found an increase of 1,270 baht on average above others.
