Abstract: This study was conducted to find guidelines for using ozone gas generators to be safe for the health of users. This is because most ozone gas generators for air disinfection that are available do not have safety indicators for users to know. There is only a user manual that recommends waiting for the ozone gas to decompose only. This gives users the opportunity to inhale ozone gas that exceeds safety standards into the body. To conduct this study, we measured and monitored the reduction of ozone gas in the air in a closed room using an ozone gas concentration sensor. To compare with the time period that the ozone generator manual recommends waiting for ozone to decay. Using an ozone generator with a capacity of 10 grams/hour and 30 grams/hour in the experiment. Ozone gas concentration is measured from the moment the ozone generator starts up. Until the concentration of ozone gas drops to a safe level. By referring to the indoor air quality standard of 0.1 ppm, including studying the reduction of ozone gas concentration faster by using fans to help ventilate the air at various rates, including 1ACH, 2ACH and 3ACH. The results of the study found that when the concentration of ozone gas in a closed room is higher, the time for ozone gas to drop to a safe level will also be longer. and longer than the duration recommended by most manufacturers' manuals. In the case where there is ventilation It was found that ventilation helped the concentration of ozone gas in the room to decrease more quickly. The higher the ventilation rate, the concentration of ozone gas in the room will decrease faster. Helps make entering and using the area faster. Therefore, guidelines for using ozone gas generators for killing germs in the air are available. There should also be a device for measuring ozone gas concentration. To allow users to truly use the area safely.
