Abstract: The aims of this study were to 1) study level of coping, quality of life, self-efficacy, resilience, and social support among medical students at pre-clinical level in the northern region of Thailand; 2) study the causal relationship of coping and quality of life among medical students at pre-clinical level in the northern region of Thailand. The sample consisted of 312 medical students at pre-clinical level in the northern region of Thailand who were randomly selected by two-stage sampling. Online questionnaires were used as means of data collection. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and causal structural model with latent variable. The study findings showed that 1) Overall, the sample had high levels of coping, quality of life, self-efficacy, and social support in all aspects. For resilience, the sample had high levels of pressure resistance and overcoming obstacles, and the highest level of hope and encouragement; 2) The proposed model fitted the empirical data; Chi-square statistics (χ2) = 90.89, df = 48, p-value = .00, RMSEA = .05, SRMR = .06, GFI = .96, AGFI = .92, CFI = .99, CN = 244.79 and all path coefficients were statistically significant at 0.05 levels. Furthermore, the results showed that resilience had the most effected on coping (path coefficient = .80), followed by self-efficacy (path coefficient = .65). Resilience had the most effected on quality of life (path coefficient = .59), followed by self-efficacy and coping (path coefficient = .48 for both).
