Abstract: The purpose of this study was to study the impact of institutional investors stock holdings and Foreign investors on the volatility of returns of listed company on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The study found that in the Stock Exchange of Thailand, which is an emerging market. The study found that in the Stock Exchange of Thailand, which is an emerging market. Institutional and foreign investors have a significant influence and effect on the return volatility. The role of these investors is a more efficient investor than general investors, resulting in investors of this type of investors will choose to invest in a company that has a good foundation and has a investment to create more returns than other investor. As a result, these type of investor's investment will stabilize the market. Further studies have also found that these investors prefer to invest in companies with dividends that reflect their fundamentals. The large dividend ratio will attract more investors to choose to invest in these companies and increase the stability of the market even more. As a conclusion, institutional and international investors are a key role in stabilizing emerging markets.
