Abstract: | This independent study aims to study factors affecting Thai tourists towards decision to visit Japan.The data was collected by using a questionnaire from sample group of 385 Thai tourists who are interested in traveling to Japan and Thai tourists who have traveled to Japan and have an overnight stay in Japan, at least 1 night, but not more than 15 days, and organize your own trip. The data was analyzed by using the descriptive statistics which consist of frequency, percentage and mean and using inferential statistics which was t-test. The result of this study revealed that most respondents are female. They are less than 40 years old. Their education is bachelor’s degree. They are single. They are employee and private employee, and earning 15,000-29,999 baht per month salary. The finding of behavior respondents only for those who have traveled to Japan, traveled on a recent trip with family and relatives, traveling by Japan Airline, the last city I traveled to was Tokyo, reasons for traveling to Japan for shopping, choose to stay at the hotel, traveling period of more than 7 days per time, spending a budget of more than 50,000 baht/person, travel during December - February (winter season). Most of them saw advertisements from the Internet, including Facebook, Instagram, Pantip. Most traveled by rental car. I have traveled 4 - 5 times. The most popular city is Tokyo, book accommodation before traveling, book direct with the hotel. Most of them search for shopping information before traveling. Most of them read reviews and use reviews to find food. The reason for organizing a Japan travel program by yourself because it is convenient to travel without having to wait for members to complete like a tour company. Most of them want to return to Japan again, and recommend friends or acquaintances to travel in Japan. The study of tourism factors affecting Thai tourists in decisions to travel to Japan indicated that overall components were high impact level. The results when sorting in descending order were accommodations, with the highest minor factor was accommodation offers a variety of facilities such as a spa, swimming pool, hot tub, fitness room, restaurant/bar. Accessibility, with the highest minor factor was tourist attractions in japan are clear signposts. Attraction, with the highest minor factor was Japan has good weather. Amenities, with the highest minor factor was the souvenir shop sells only good and quality products. Activities, with the highest minor factor was family activities such as camping around the campfire, experiencing nature, doing activities with family. Ancillary services, with the highest minor factor was facilities for the disabled. The study of the external environment affecting Thai tourists in making decision to travel to Japan indicated that overall components were high impact level. The results when sorting in descending order were political, with the highest minor factor was travel Accident Insurance. Technology, with the highest minor factor was efficient transportation system, such as high security, punctuality. Economic, with the highest minor factor was currency exchange rate relatively stable. Social, with the highest minor factor was life and property safety because of the low crime rate. The result of the comparison on means which affect tourism components and external environment factors affecting Thai tourists towards decision to visit Japan, categorized by tourist status, show that mean effect level Tourism components and external environment of respondents who have been to Japan and have never been to Japan, not different overall, when considering the every minor factors, it was found that were not different in every minor factors. |
