Abstract

The objective of this study is 1) to study operational potential including problems and obstacles from operations 2) to study the roles and participation in the management of government agency the public sector and educational institutions that are involved in management; and 3) to study the development and rehabilitation guidelines. Wiang Bua ancient kiln site, Phayao province to be a sustainable community attraction. The researcher used a qualitative research method. and nonparticipant observation from Wiang Bua Community Product Group Community Leader-Ban Bua Community Member Executives working group of Mae Ka Subdistrict Municipality and professors from the University of Phayao, a total of 14 people

The results shown that the ancient kiln site of Wiang Bua at present has the potential to operate with the readiness of the building to be used for preserving historical data, antiques, various crockery, including the building for the learning process of sculpture activities. earthenware as well as facilities to accommodate tourists or those interested as for the major problems and obstacles, it was found that the development of participation of local communities members do not yet see the value or benefit of tourism. The management of space is still an administrative problem which has resulted in not being able to operate at full capacity. Role in participation of government organizations and educational institutions in the area must be consistent with the community context and be more concrete. including encouraging and motivating people in the community to see the benefits and values of tourist attractions that exist within the community which must be strengthened to arise from within the community first in order for the community to develop the ancient kilns of Wiang Bua for sustainable development.
