Abstract: Enabling local energy trading in Peer-to-Peer energy trading, operators are required to consider the overview market and network for efficient energy trading. In this context, this work regards the congestion constraint in conjunction with the energy trading. Firstly, cost path for dispatch along each route is proposed, making suitable matching in both distance and bid. Secondly, Bus Transfer Factor (BTF) and partitioning zone approach are proposed to overcome the congestion problem. The factor reflects a shift in power injection at the bus compared a shift in power flow on the congested line. It is a sharing factor for adjusting traders’ power in order to eliminate the excessive power in the congested line based on management area: source and load area. Moreover, a compensation is allocated to incite them for congestion management. As the result of proposed congestion management, traders can adjust minimum power without needing to unnecessarily curtail their power.
