Abstract

Independent research “Research Management System for Students of the Master of Arts Program in Information Science, Chiang Mai University”, the objectives of this research were 1) to develop a research management system of the Master's Degree Program Department of Information Science. Therefore, it is necessary, and 2) to communicate between graduate students and advisors through the Internet system, so that they can communicate with each other more easily and quickly. In addition, advisors andcourse committees can track the progress of each master's thesis and independent research on what stage they are doing, such as developing a layout, tool development, data collection, and data analysis, etc. It also reduces the time wasted. The course committee or administrators can also get an overview of the faculty in each discipline and how many advisory students are involved in the dissertation and independent research groups, and know at what stage each student has worked including a system for collecting thesis and independent research. Including systematic drafts of research papers and related documents makes it easy to find information stored in the same data source fast and efficient, it is useful to users of the system in studying, researching, or applying it in making reports or related projects in the future. From the satisfaction assessment, it was found that the level of satisfaction in using the research management system in relation to the communication between the system and the user, this is an average of 3.91. If you consider each item, it is found that it is difficult - easy to use the system, including displaying data in a format and having the same standard and accuracy in linking within the website meet the needs. The aesthetic aspect is that the composition of the screen is appropriate and the colors and font sizes are clearly visible at a high level averaged 4.17. The processing aspect of the system is the process of adding, deleting, and editing the thesis and thesis papers, and presentation of reports to users at a high level averaged 4.17. And the service that meets the needs of users is the presentation of basic information within the system is accurate. The management and display of system user information is accurate. The details of the thesis proceedings are accurate. User reports are accurate, and the presentation of the executive report information is accurate at a high level averaged 4.32
