Abstract

This research aims to improve the overall effectiveness of the machine for products cleaning. There is one of the four least overall effective machine was select. Machines with low overall effectiveness can lead to problems; lost time, lost production volume, lost production cost, and effect the product delivery lead time. The data were analysis before improvement with an examination sheet, Pareto chart, graph, cause and effect diagram and brainstorming. The result showed that the parameters with low values were the availability and performance efficiency. Solutions for the problem selected was as preventive maintenance to improve the machine’s readiness and prevent the machine breakdown. After implementation, the result showed that %availability increased from 74.8% to 98.3%, %performance efficiency increased from 70.6% to 77.8% and % OEE increased from 52.1% to 75.5%, achieved target. Moreover, idle time decreased 84 hours per year, production volume increased 389,304 pcs per year and cost saved 1,121,130 THB per year.
