การพัฒนาเครื่องมือประเมินรูปแบบการรับความรู้สึกฉบับภาษาไทยในเด็กอายุ 3-12 ปี สำหรับผู้ดูแล

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to develop and to examine the psychometric properties of Thai Sensory Patterns Assessment (TSPA) tool for children aged 3-12 years: caregiver - version. The study process consisted of a draft questionnaire of children’s behavior response of sensory stimuli in daily life divided into two parts, part 1 - sensory preference and part 2 - sensory arousal. In each part, there were sixes sensory modalities: sight, sound, smell and taste, touch, vestibular and proprioceptive. The content validity was validated by five experts. The construct validity and internal consistency reliability were examined using data from 414 caregivers of normal children, and intra-rater reliability was evaluated using data from 40 caregivers. The results showed that 1) the TSPA tool for children is a questionnaire report by caregiver with the retained 65 items, 35 items in sensory preference part and 30 items in sensory arousal part. 2) the psychometric properties of TSPA tool for children showed that the content validity index of item-objective congruence was between 0.8-1.00. To establish construct validity, the factor loading in part 1 and 2 were 0.505 - 0.804 and 0.433 - 0.791, respectively. Internal consistency, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.92 in part 1 and 0.81 in part 2. The intra-rater reliability showed intraclass correlation coefficient was 0.74 in part 1 and 0.79 in part 2. Based on the overall validity and reliability of this tool, it is considered acceptable.
