Abstract

This research about Political Economy of Cockfight in the Relationship Between Elite Groups and Community: A Case Study of Mae Yoi Cockfight Stadium, San Sai Noi Sub District, San Sai District, Chiang Mai Province had 3 objectives: To study the relationship between the economic and political elite in class and power relations. Efiective in legal issues and control policies for cocklighting of the relevant authorities. This research was analyzed through the concept of political economic social networks, Elite concept and the concept of interest groups. The study was a qualitative research. Data were collected through semi- structured interviews with participatory observation.

The study about relationship among elite, economy and politics found that the cocklight Stadium is a place to connect people who are interested and involved in cockfighting.
