Abstract

This study aims to develop the readiness assessment model for commercial use of research in the Agro-industry based on a literature review. The assessment criteria can be classified into five categories which are technology readiness, market readiness, commercial readiness, management readiness and intellectual property readiness. A five-point scale is employed for the evaluation of readiness in each category, ranging from the least to the greatest. The Delphi technique is then applied forverifying if the research readiness assessment model. The Item objective congruence (IOC) is also computed for the analysis of the consistency among the experts participating in the Delphi technique. Fifty pieces of research in the Argo-industry from Chiang Mai University’s researchers are selected as case studies and evaluated by employing the readiness assessment model, resulting in four groups of research. Finally, the readiness scores of each group are illustrated in radar and spider charts for further analysis and improvement of commercialization readiness.
