Abstract: The objectives of this independent study were 1) to investigate the tourism infrastructure, impacts from tourism and SWOT analysis of tourism management of Ban Mong Doi Pui community, 2) to study the behavior and satisfaction of tourists towards tourism management of Ban Mong Doi Pui community, and 3) to study and analyze participatory approaches to sustainable tourism management in Ban Mong Doi Pui community. A questionnaire was used as a research instrument for data collection. The sample of this study was those involved with Ban Mong Doi Pui tourism management, comprising 240 people, 5 government officials, and 120 tourists. The results of this study indicated that the sample people and government officials rated the quality scale of tourism infrastructure in terms of natural resources, cultural and artificial objects, traditions, cultures and festivals and activities from the high to the highest levels, followed by local product distributing place, which gained the high quality score. The service aspect gained from the low to the moderate levels of quality score. Furthermore, participation in sustainable tourism management of Ban Mong Doi Pui community indicated that participation in opinion proposal, planning and decision-making, and evaluation of the sample people and government officials were rated at relatively low level. The participation in implementation and operation was rated at the moderate level. The participation in taking and sharing benefits of sample people was rated at the relatively high level. However, the participation of the sample government officials was rated from the lowest to the moderate levels. From SWOT analysis, the strengths of Ban Mong Doi Pui community included the fertility of forests, the unique history and tribe background. The weakness was the lack of unity or participation in sustainable tourism management of people and government officials. The threat was restricted space without capacity to be expanded to accommodate tourists and healthcare or hospital areas. The opportunities were low-cost publicity via social media, including assistance from the private and government sectors. The problems included insufficient space to accommodate tourists. In terms of behavior of tourists, most of them traveled without staying overnight, traveled only once or twice a year. They were single people, students, 290-30 years old, graduated with a bachelor’s degree, earned monthly income of 10,001 - 15,000 baht. They traveled by a private car with friends, co-workers, and family members. They knew tourist attractions through website, television, and magazine, respectively. Most of them prioritized convenient travel, followed by the quality of tourist attractions, and environment.
