พฤติกรรมสารสนเทศของนักบวชหญิงศาสนาคริสต์นิกายโรมันคาทอลิกในกรุงเทพมหานคร

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study information behavior, including information needs, information seeking and information use of Catholic nuns in Bangkok and to study the problems of Catholic nuns’ information seeking and using. The study applied qualitative research methodology by collecting data from documents and semi-structured interviews. The study population was 4 congregations: Sisters of Saint Paul de Chartres, The Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Sisters of Bangkok, The Ursulines of the Roman Union Thailand and the Holy Infant Jesus Sisters Thailand. The samples were 9 in total divided into 2 groups: group leader and group member. The data were analyzed by interpretation and contents analysis. The result of the research revealed that Catholic nuns in Bangkok needed Catholic Bible and Papal documents and Catholic Faith Books the most. The information seeking instruments which mostly used were mobile phone and computers. The ways of information seeking from electronic sources through Google You Tube, Facebook and Line News.The problems of information seeking and use were too much time used in information seeking and using lead to addicted to information that is not relevant with a religious state of life which can effect daily schedule of religious life. All these problems effect the religious vows and way of life which was the forgetting of oneself as a religious or being blinded by the secular way of life and forgetting the role and mission of a religious
