Abstract: The objective of this independent study is to study the requirement analysis of information system for Kumpol Metal and Engineering limited partnership. This study is based on ideas of information system development, requirement analysis of fact-finding techniques, data flow diagram, retail management and controlling of management information system. The data were analyzed using information system according to system development life cycle, business document analysis, workflow observations and in-depth interviews with business owner and his ten employees. The finding indicated that enterprise problems in the current system are unsystematic and complicated. These obstacles can effect to enterprise growth in the future. Moreover, the necessary information promptly cannot be reached. Therefore, it causes low productivity in the workplace, discouragement of employees. They ultimately cannot response client requirement. So, clients are not satisfied on service. The economic feasibility study shows the investment return of this project is a worth investment. The analysis of current system leads to know the improvement of used information system by creating the model of workflow process which matches to the enterprise information system need. The system was divided into 8 sub-processes; sale process, purchasing process, goods receiving process, goods exchange and return process, goods return process to dealers, financing and accounting process, data management process and report printing process. The analysis of information system mentioned could be classified into 12 reports; quotations, transportation report, credit-note or goods exchange report, stock inventory report, reorder point report, inactive inventory report, overall purchasing history report, regular customer sale history report, already purchasing report, price comparison of each dealer report, goods receipt report, and customer relationship report. This study could lead to business management program decisions.
