Abstract: The objective of this independent study was to study critical success factors of dog grooming service business in Mueang Chiang Mai District. The data was collected from questionnaires completed by 35 owners of dog grooming service business out of 39 distributed. It was found from the study that most owners of dog grooming service business in Mueang Chiang Mai District were 31-40 years old, with the highest education of undergraduate level, and with no experience in this business. Motivation for doing this business is that they are pet lover. Most business owners had been in business for more than 5 years and started their business with 100,000-500,000 Baht investment. Most business owners perceive that their key performance indicators reflecting their success were customer’s satisfaction, number of customers, profit and business stability. In addition, the top 5 critical success factors were 1) Staffs are nice and welcome, resulting in customer retention 2) Quality of service 3) Staffs are skillful in providing services 4) Shops are clean and have good air circulation and 5) Standard process of service that ensure customers a quality service.
