Abstract: This independent study aimed to study the behavior according to sustainable consumption concept of working-age people in mueang Chiang Mai district towards selecting gas station services . The questionnaire was used as the tool to collect data 400 using a quota sampling by occupation. Data was, then, analyzed by the use of descriptive statistics, consisting of frequency, percentage, and mean. The findings presented that most respondents were single male, aged of 20-29 years old, with bachelor’s degree. The majority was the employee of private company and earned the monthly income at the amount of 9,001-20,000 baht. Most gas to gasoline, gasohol 91 at the gas station PTT believes in the quality of the oil, frequency of oil 1-2 times per month, service during 8:01 am. -12.00 pm and the cost per visit is about 101-300 baht. Furthermore, most alternative fuel to gas stations with service personnel, cash payments, decided chooses their own gas stations. The samples were divided into two groups by mean: general consumers and the consumers who are aware of the concept of sustainable consumption. The findings user stations that recognize the concept of sustainable consumption that most respondents were single male, aged of 34-41 years old, with bachelor’s degree. The majority was the employee of private company and earned the monthly income at the amount of 9,001-20,000 baht. But general consumers were aged 24-32 years old. According to the correlation analysis on general information of the working aged people towards selecting gas station services, as divided into a group of working-aged consumers with sustainable consumption concept and a group of general working-aged consumers, the results presented that the difference of personal factors on gender, age, marital status, career and average monthly income affected the correlation of these two groups. Nevertheless, the difference of personal factors on education background did not affect the correlation among these two groups. Based upon the study on behavioral classification on the sustainable consumption concept towards selecting gas station services of these two groups of consumers, the results suggested that the consumer behaviors on the type of oil stations, the reason is that gas from a gas station, the amount of oil in 1 month, period in a month that they came to receive service, amount of expenses that they spent in each time, Style gas station and did not affected to both groups of consumers. According to the study on statistic test of difference, the findings presented that both groups of consumers similarly paid an importance on the selecting gas station services, as a part of people factor. They, however, differently paid importance to the following sub-factors: providing customers with the expertise and fast and employees serving as a source of employment in the local area.
