Abstract: This study aimed to examine the roles of meaning construction in the realm of street fashion in Cheeze magazine and the outcome of this research is to create an art project. The sampling information were selected from the magazine issues since February 2012 to July 2012. The result of the study shows that contents of Cheeze magazine worked together to constructed new meanings of street fashion that corresponded to its business purposes by letting the reader to pre-consumed products in their fancy imagination, and then turning the magazines contents into the place where fashion commodities met the reader who could be the real consumer in physical world. However the result also shows that some groups of readers perceived the magazine’s tricks wisely and interpreted the meaning of street fashion in the way that is contradicted with the magazine’s purpose.
