Abstract: The objectives of this study were to improve the efficiency of Wax Injection Process in Jewelry Manufacturing by reducing waste and establishing standardization for this process. Since Wax Injection Process was a primary upstream process and more than 80 % of company products had to pass this process as product’s requirement. Wax Injection Process consisted of 4 main steps including Mold making, Wax injection, Inspection and Tree making. The first scheme of this study was to set target for product groups, based on requirements of downstream processes, type of used metal and production steps. Target products were analyzed by developing VSM and identified production wastes using 5W1H method and fish bone diagram. The improvement solutions were proposed based on Future State Value Steam Mapping collaborated with Industrial Engineering and Lean techniques as ECRS Technique, Supermarket Production System, Pull System, SMED technique, Kanban, 5S, Production leveling and Scheduling. Then, the improvement solutions were implemented by developing a tool based on Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel. The result of this study was suited with created VSM as weekly output at Wax injection process was increased from 15,835 pieces to 21,445 pieces. Additionally, weekly percentage of delayed jobs was decreased from 35.42 % to 8.86%.
