Abstract: | This study aims to develop a retirement planning application that falls under the category of decision-making tools. The application is designed to assist users in suitably planning their retirement. This application is a tool that provides detailed recommendations on saving plans, investment plans, and consumption plans to help users make reasonable decisions on their future finances. The central component of the application uses an optimization model adapted from Dempster (2011) to support available tax reduction investment products in Thailand. This model allows users to set their spending goals in multi-level for adapting based on their financial situation. With this model, the application can provide tailored retirement plans that are suitable for users. The primary target group for this application is Thai working individuals aged between 23 and 36 years. After evaluating the application with the target group through interviewing and pairing. The group indicated that clear retirement planning data representation, the ability to suggest spending based on the user's financial situation, and the interactivity of the program allowed users to experiment with various scenarios to gain new insights into their financial planning needs. As a result, users are more aware of the need to plan for retirement. |
