Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study predictability of mindfulness and connectedness to nature on pro-environmental behavior of undergraduate bachelor students. The samples were 395 undergraduate students at Chiang Mai University. Three questionnaires including mindfulness scale, connectedness to nature scale and pro-environmental behavior scale were used to collectdata. Data was analyzed by using descriptive statistic and multiple regression analysis. The results show that connectedness to nature can predict environmental behavior at the .05 level (β=.421). Also, mindfulness can predict environmental behavior at the level .05 (β=.104). Furthermore, connectedness to nature and mindfulness can significantly predict pro-environmental behavior (R2=22.4). In conclusion, if students enhance more mindfulness and connectedness to nature, they will consequently enhance more pro-environmental behavior.
