Abstract

The purposes of this study were 1) to study the science communication ability of grade level 12 students learning through inquiry method supplemented with group discussion technique and 2) to study the science e subject learning achievement of grade level 12 students learning through inquiry method supplemented with group discussion technique. The population was 32 grade level 12 students in the first semester of the 2020 academic year at Trontrisin School, Tron District, Uttaradit Province. The instruments used in this study consisted of 1) science lesson plans taught through inquiry method supplemented with group discussion technique on "Human and Environmental Sustainability, 2) the science learning achievement test on 'Human and Environmental Sustainability" with reliability index of 0.82 and 3) the science communication ability test on "Human and Environmental Sustainability", The statistics used in data analysis included mean and standard deviation using computer software packages. Research finding were as follows: 1. Students' post-test of science communication ability after taught through inquiry method supplemented with group discussion technique were significantly higher than the pre-test ones at the .01 level. 2. Students' post-test of learning achievement after taught through inquiry method supplemented with group discussion technique were significantly higher than the pre-test ones at the .01 level.
