Abstract: This study aims 1) to investigate the quality of life of the elderly Japanese living in Chiang Mai. 2) to study the active aging of the elderly Japanese living in Chiang Mai. 3) to propose good practice on living the life of the elderly Japanese living in Chiang Mai. The research targets are members of the Japanese Association living in Chiang Mai, who are over 60 years old which interviewed 6 Japanese using Japanese language and 2 Thai. The data collection tool is an in-depth interview, and a Japanese translation of a WHOQOL questionnaire based on research by Tazaki M., Nakane Y. (1998). However, the basic information received was deemed to be completed by a total of 91 target groups (81.8%), and WHOQOL questions were answered in full by a total of 91 target groups (74.0%). As a result of the data collection, it was found that physical, psychological, environmental, and overall aspects were considered to be good, but the aspect of the social relations found to be moderate. This research, therefore, considers the issues in question for elderly Japanese long-term residents living in Chiang Mai of Thailand, and analyzes what is needed to make Japanese elderly long-term residents living in Chiang Mai, in order to be able to live more smoothly in Thai society.
