Abstract

Originally, Tai Lue culture in Lampang province can be divided into many aspects including historical story, tradition, and life style, all of which represent its identity. However, due to cultural intervention and ignorance, this ethnic group has gradually lose his/her cultural identities and inherited values which are actually required the maintenance and conservation for the next generations who might be proud of their own histories, languages of both spokenand written forms, and local wisdoms.This is to say, as a consequence, the local identities of this communitywill have gradually disappeared and the later generations will not be able to identify who they are and who theirancestors were. Therefore, this research aims at studying the cultural knowledge management toward Tai Lue community so that it can be developed. An interview with an expert was conducted at Baan Kluai Phae, Muang District, Lampang Province. Data collected consists of 1) dress culture 2) traditional weaving local wisdom 3) architectural design 4) art performance 5) Tai Lue language 6) local food and 7) folk games. Apart from these, the researcher also focused on studying the learning management process. The research resulted in creating the website to be Tai Lue knowledge resource. And all media materials on the database can be added or edited in various forms such as photos, videos, sound clips, andtexts. More importantly, it will be guidelines for the related organisations to be aware of ethnic identity maintenance and the promotion of new ethnic generationsto appreciate on their rooted and inherited cultures, particularly the heritage language and cultural practices
