Abstract

The objective of independent study was to develop data warehouse for staff division of personal management, Chiang Mai University. The development process consisted of system analysis and design, database design, data warehouse development, ETL process development, create OLAP cube and create report. The development of data warehouse for staff division of personal management, Chiang Mai University for support decision making. The system was designed to integrate operational data of division of personal management from multiple sources and stored data in multidimensional database and presented report via website. The development tools were Microsoft SQL Server 2012 for data warehouse management, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Service 2012 for ETL process development, Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Service 2012 for creating OLAP Cube, Dundas chart for ASP.NET OLAP services for creating web-based reporting application and Microsoft Excel 2013 for creating dashboard. The results from user satisfaction evaluation toward using the system was found that overall satisfaction was at the high level. The system was working properly and can help support decision.
