Abstract: The Purpose is study Using Behavior and Social Media Literacy Level of the Elderly in Chiang Mai Province. This quantitative research used a questionnaire. The population group is the elderly aged 60 years in Chiang Mai Province. To collect information from 384-person (100 %) werereturned. The data were analyzed using statistical measures such as percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results of the study social media usage behavior most elderly spend their time between 5:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and have media use most time of 1 - 2 hours per day. Each time, the frequency of accessing social media was more than 1 hour per day. The place where most social media is used is within one's own home. Monthly expenses under 100 baht are at the highest level. The results of the study found that they are at the highest level. Elderly people use smartphones to communicate with family members at a high level (x ̅ = 4.41) and used to access social media through YouTube at a moderate level. (x ̅ = 2.99) The impact of social media use lies on the device side. (Internet connection is unstable) (37.20 %) Environmental aspect (Family member devices are not supported) (30.20 %) emotional and mental Performance (being entertained) (63.60 %) and health (blurry/impaired/changed vision) (34.26 %) The results of the study showed that overall, there was an average score Social Media Literacy Level of the Elderly in Chiang Mai Province at a moderate level (x ̅ = 3.24). When considering the results of measuring online literacy skills according to all 5 is Element 1 Access Skill, Element 2 Analyze Skill, Element 3 Evaluate Skill, Element 4 Create Skill and Element 5 Participate Skill. Overall study results found that the elements with the highest averages were ranked high is Element 2 Analyze Skill (x ̅ = 3.36) and Element 4 Create Skill (x ̅ = 3.34) The next rank is moderate have 3 elements is Element 3 Evaluate Skill (x ̅ = 3.21), Element 5 Participate Skill (x ̅ = 3.19) and Element 1 Access Skill (x ̅ = 3.12). The result of studying the quality of the tools by studying the difficulty values and the discriminatory values were found to be the overall difficulty finding (P) ranged from 0.40 to 0.59 it was found to be at a good level and from finding the discriminatory (r) the overall will be in the range 0.37 – 0.52 which is at a most good level to moderate level. It can be concluded of social media literacy level is good quality
