Abstract

This research presents the love and eroticism of thai middle class during 1997-2017 through the framework of emotional history, which is applied to summarize the research evidence. The main goal is to study the changes in the value system and emotional understanding related to the emotional pathways of the middle class that have changed. This aims to understand the changing values, emotional understanding, and emotional carnality related to love and emotional carnality of the new middle-class groups that are related to age and are living in the new socio-economic and political conditions. This is done through evidence from media consumption behaviors related to emotions, such as television dramas, dating applications, languages, and symbols in social media. This research highlights how technology has changed and interacts with the economic dimension under the conditions of modern society, which has deeply changed the emotional thought systems of the middle class. The middle class's lifestyle is being placed on new economic conditions that are technology-based and aligned with the developing global economic system. It explains the emotional pathways under the mainstream moral standard framework of the middle class by synthesizing information from other related research to create a new explanation that shows changing images through presenting evidence and providing examples of case studies to reflect the value systems in the new middle-class emotional carnality. Understanding the changes in love and emotional carnality of the new middle class will help understand the cultural dimensions of humans and societies.
