Abstract: The aim of this study is to explore the factors that influence Chinese parents’ decisions in selecting Thailand’s international schools for their children and to develop guide for these parents in making educational choices in Thailand. The research adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. Semi-structured interviews with six Chinese parents whose children attend international schools in Thailand, generated detailed narrative insights. A set of questionnaires was designed and carried out with 30 prospective parents, 28 of whom are considering Thailand’s international schools for their children, providing statistical data on their decision-making factors and preferences. The combination of these methods provides a robust analysis of the factors influencing Chinese parents’ choices regarding international schooling in Thailand and ensures the practicality and relevance of the guide produced. The research results and the comprehensive guide offer a solid base for future research and practical tools in international education, particularly within Thailand. Expanding the range of interviewees in future studies will enrich the data and broaden the understanding of the underlying factors.
