Abstract

The study of “Conservation and Continuation of Liang Hor Por Jao Luang Tradition in Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province” was studied for the following purposes; (1) to study about historic background, community social and cultural of Mae Chaem district, (2) to study about process and value in Liang Hor Por Jao Luang tradition in Mae Chaem district, Chiang Mai province and (3) for the present the model to conservation and continuation of “Liang Hor Por Jao Luang” tradition in Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province. By using tools in collecting data such as structured Interviews, observation physical measurement, and field observation. The management technic to conserve and continue the “Liang Hor Por Jao Luang” tradition consists of 3 elements. First, to make people appreciate in “Liang Hor Por Jao Luang” tradition. Second, the management method should be improved by encouraging cooperation from all sectors and society. Third, to educate the youth about process and value in “Liang Hor Por Jao Luang” tradition and instill conscience in youth to preserve and disseminate “Liang Hor Por Jao Luang” tradition to be the long-lived continuation.
