Abstract: | The objective of this thesis is to analyze the efficiency of education expenditure and the impact of corruption on the educational efficiency of countries in the Asia-Pacific region. The study utilizes statistical analysis to examine the situation and used the Stochastic Frontier Analysis to analyze and determine the efficiency of education in 29 countries from 2012 to 2020, covering a total of 9 years. The findings indicate that both the GDP per capita and government expenditure on education have a positive influence on the expected years of education. Additionally, the study investigates the impact of corruption perception on educational efficiency and finds that awareness of corruption positively affects educational efficiency. These research findings are beneficial for policymakers in both the public and private sectors of Asian-Pacific countries. Therefore, it is recommended to promote efficient government spending in the education sector and enhance the development of individuals through a solid educational foundation. |
