Abstract: The purposes of this research were to study the students’ English speaking abilities after learning by using Communicative Language Teaching Activities and compared the motivation of students before and after learning. The population was 21 students among Grade 6, Tonkla School Chiang Mai. The 21 students were selected by purposive sampling. Time of experiment was 4 weeks, five periods a week and 1 hour per each period, the total of 18 hours. Tools used in research were 7 lesson plans. The research procedures comprised of testing students’ speaking abilities and assessing the students’ motivation before and after learning. The data were analyzed for mean, standard deviation, and percentage. The findings were as follows: 1. The students’ English speaking abilities passed the pre-set criterion after learning through Communicative Language Teaching Activities. 2. The students’ motivation increased after using Communicative Language Teaching Activities.
