Abstract: | This study was conducted to understand the dynamic relationship between rural labor mobility and economic growth in Yunnan. The study use Autoregressive Distributed Lag model (ARDL) to evaluate the long-run and short-run effects of rural labor mobility , government education expend on economic growth in Yunnan , on the growth rate of primary industry output, secondary industry output, and tertiary industry output in Yunnan using data from 2001-2021. The regression results show that: (1) Government education expend and rural labor mobility in Yunnan have a stable long-run equilibrium relationship with, on economic growth in Yunnan , on the growth rate of primary industry output, secondary industry output, and tertiary industry output in Yunnan , respectively; (2) In the long run, government education expend has a significant positive effect on the growth rate of primary industry output, and tertiary industry output in Yunnan. And rural labor mobility has a significant positive effect on economic growth in Yunnan , on the growth rate of secondary industry output; (3) In the short run, government education expend has positive time lag effect on primary industry output. For rural labor mobility, it has a positive effect on economic growth in Yunnan and on the growth rate of primary industry output, but a negative time lag effect on the growth rate of secondary industry output. In the end, the study concludes with recommendations in terms of education and rural labor mobility. To some extent, the discoveries fill in the research on the dynamic relationship between rural labor mobility and economic growth in Yunnan, and also provide a reference for future scholars. |
