Abstract: | With the rapid development of the global economy, many people are suffering from various stress factors and pressure in life and work, leading to more physical and psychological diseases striking today's society. As a result, most have become interested in the quality of lives, and these people regard better health as a driving force. So the need to travel for more healthy vacations is at its peak. In recent years, many people have started to join meditation tourism as a type of wellness tourism. Meditation is a portable product meditators can practice in locations requiring no equipment and fewer expenses. With the increasing interest in alternative medicine, meditation is being used as a therapy and has become one of the techniques that can be used in complementary and therapeutic interventions. From the interview in our research, in China, people who practice such activities have shown a plan for meditation in Thailand—focusing on a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and delicious quality food at affordable prices. This research aims to clarify the key elements that affect the lifestyle and activities of Chinese meditation lovers to co-create meditation activities to provide a new service for Chinese tourists who will come as extended visitors to wellness resorts in Thailand. In this research, design thinking is a creative process. Customer knowledge management is a collaborative approach to consolidate the knowledge and experience among the production team to add more market value to service for wellness resorts. The experts review validates the meditation activities plan. The results are examined based on experts and representational meditation groups, which will influence our meditation activity designs and enormously impact the whole meditation tourism industry. This research has two advantages: 1) For organizations, it can help to increase the competitive advantage to open a new market by designing a meditation activity based on Chinese meditation lovers' requirements and the new designing meditation activity can make more profits for them and balance the previous loss due to COVID-19. In addition, it improves customer satisfaction by providing better products and services and then forming good feedback to appeal to more new customers. Organizations can utilize design thinking to acquire competitive advantages and enhance the wellness industry's market competitiveness. 2) For meditators, this research can offer meditators more practical meditation skills that can be practiced at home. Also, this research can promote the health condition of Chinese meditators and release the muscular tension. Meanwhile, the meditators can enhance the psychological health and release the pressure. Lastly, meditators can acquire wisdom, improve self-awareness, efficiently deal with future problems, and release depression and anxiety. |
