The objective of this study was to determine the energy utilization index in Thai public and private buildings. By using 509 public and private office buildings in Thailand, which are under the Energy Conservation Promotion Act (No. 2) B.E. 2550 (2007), with 2010 to 2019 annal data, we found that the factor that affects the electricity consumption of all buildings are air-conditioned floor area, non-air-conditioned floor area, number of hours, number of officers, and average annual temperature, respectively. The comparison found that the actual electricity consumption of private office buildings was lower than the standard electricity consumption. However, in contrast to government office buildings, although the actual energy consumption and the standard electricity consumption are in line with the same direction, the actual electricity consumption is much higher than the standard electricity consumption.en_US
