Abstract

The gloomy atmosphere of the world has caused sadness and agony in different respects to human beings. This is the starting point for me to look for happiness from little things in my daily life, which has led to the desire to create the space of happiness through art works in 'Diary of Happiness' with the idea to present the space that shows a moment of life that is full of happiness and freedom through the canapes and forms from my imaginations that have been developed from forms of human beings, flowers, pets and movement of amoeba that stretches and shrinks, as media to communicate the relations, love, gentleness and good friendships in order to reflect that happiness can come from little things in life that have become positive inspirations for life. The works are sculptures from mixed media. All the forms and shapes are installed in ways that reflect life with happiness that can be seen in our daily lives. In addition, meanings of the works are analyzed in terms of gestures, rhythms and postures, colors and surfaces of all forms, as well as the technique of presentation that enable the works to lead to the concurrence with the concept and the accomplishment of the objective of this project. Works in this project have accomplished the goal of the consideration ofsimple happiness in life, which has been manifested through the way audiences enjoy the works by viewing the works gently and taking time to look at details of works, and smiling while finding angles to take their photographs with the works in different forms. All the aforementioned reactions are the reactions to happiness that has emerged in audiences' minds. Consequently, the space of art works in this 'Diary of Happiness' Project has become meaningful because it has created the world of simple happiness for audiences.
